1. Who we are
Prism Proxies is run by the business behind this website. We are the "controller" of the personal information described here, which means we decide how and why it is used.
Questions about this policy or your information: [email protected].
2. What we collect
| Information | Details |
|---|---|
| Account details | Your Discord ID, Discord username, display name and avatar, supplied when you sign in with Discord; and the email address you give us. |
| Orders and invoices | What you bought, quantity, price, dates, order and invoice numbers, any discount code used, and the contact email you gave at checkout. We record that you accepted our terms and when. |
| Payments | Stripe takes your card details directly and we never receive the full card number. We keep Stripe's customer and payment references, the card brand and last four digits (if you save a card for auto-renew), and the amounts and status of each payment. |
| Store credit and referrals | Your store credit and points history; who referred you or whom you referred (by account); referral link visits, recorded using a one-way scrambled code made from the visitor's network address and browser, not the address itself; and redemption requests. |
| Proxy accounts | The proxy username and account reference we create for you for you, your remaining data and expiry dates, and for ISP and datacenter orders the addresses assigned to you. We do not store the password for your residential proxy login. |
| Usage totals | How much residential data you have used, as recorded for your account. We do not record the websites you connect to through your proxies. |
| Sign-in and security | When you sign in we record the time, network address and a short description of your browser, so you can be signed out and we can spot misuse. A log of important account events (for example orders, credit changes and admin actions) is kept. |
| Messages | Notifications we send you, and what you send us when you ask for help by email or in Discord. |
| Technical data | Basic server logs such as network address, time, page requested and errors, used to keep the site working and secure. |
The infrastructure partners that operate the network carrying proxy traffic may record connection details, such as destinations and usage, under their own policies. We do not log or store that information ourselves. For ISP and datacenter proxies we likewise do not record the websites you visit.
3. Why we use it, and our legal reasons
| What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Create and run your account, take payment, deliver and renew your orders, send receipts and notices, provide support | To perform our contract with you |
| Keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, handle chargebacks and enforce our terms, run the referral programme fairly, improve the Service | Our legitimate interests |
| Keep invoices and accounting records, answer lawful requests from authorities | To meet our legal obligations |
| Send optional messages, if we ever add them (you can switch them off) | Your consent |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not make decisions about you using automated profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. Fraud checks on payments are done by Stripe.
4. Who we share it with
- Stripe, our payment provider, for card payments, saved cards and receipts.
- Discord, which provides sign-in and, where we use it, direct messages and our support community.
- Resend, which delivers our emails (your email address and the message).
- Our infrastructure partners, which run the proxy network. We give them a reference name for your proxy account (not your name or email) and the data allowance on it, and they see the traffic that passes through the proxies in order to carry it. Their own privacy practices apply to that traffic.
- Hosting and database providers that run the website and store our records (Supabase for the database and Cloudflare for the domain and network protection), only to do that work for us.
- Authorities and advisers, where the law requires it, to protect our rights or others' safety, or to our professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) under confidentiality.
If our business is sold or reorganised, your information may be passed to the new owner, who must respect this policy.
5. International transfers
Some of the providers above are based outside the United Kingdom, for example in the United States. Where information is sent abroad we rely on an approved safeguard such as the UK's international data transfer arrangements, adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while you have an account with us, and we delete it when you ask us to. Write to [email protected] and we will remove your account and the information linked to it, apart from the records the law requires us to keep, below.
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Account details, notifications and messages, referral records | While your account is open, then until you ask us to delete them |
| Orders, invoices and payment records | 6 years after the end of the relevant financial year, for tax and accounting law, even if you ask us to delete your account |
| Sign-in sessions | Until they expire (7 days) or you sign out |
7. Your rights
You can ask us to: tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy; correct anything that is wrong; delete your information; restrict or object to how we use it; and give you your information in a portable format. If we use your information on the basis of your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Some requests are limited by what we must keep by law (for example invoices). You can download a copy of your information or delete your account yourself under Settings, Privacy & data in your dashboard, or write to [email protected]; we will reply within one month. There is no charge unless a request is clearly unreasonable.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
| Cookie | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in after you log in. Set only once you sign in. | Up to 7 days |
| Sign-in security cookie | Protects the Discord sign-in process from forgery. | A few minutes |
| Referral cookie | Remembers a referral code if you arrive through a referral link, until you sign in. | Up to 7 days |
These are strictly necessary for the site to work. Your browser also keeps short-lived notes for the page (for example a message to show after a payment); they stay on your device. If we later add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your consent first.
9. Security
We protect your information with appropriate technical and organisational measures. No system is completely secure, so please protect your own Discord account too. If a breach puts your rights at risk we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
10. Children
The Service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and we close accounts we discover belong to a child.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date shows the current version, and for important changes we will tell you by email or in your dashboard.
